Step One
Open the rope snubbing lever by pushing it up with your finger, until the retaining pawl engages, then attach the snap hook.
Step Two
Steer the boat toward the shore where you intend to land, and when you are about 80 feet from shore, put the anchor over the side.
The anchor rope will slide freely through the shell as you continue toward the shore.
